Account Manager Job Description

Account Managers are responsible for making sure the clients’ needs are being met while operating as a liaison between them and Walmart.  Your main function will be ensuring everything runs smoothly from a top-line perspective, and communicating effectively any issues or opportunities that could maximize the business. This role will include, but not limited to: sales forecasting, supply chain efficiency, order processing, and meeting prep.

Responsibilities

  • Learn and manage sales strategy for multiple clients to ensure growth
  • Establish strong business relationships with key decision-makers of assigned accounts
  • Identify new opportunities for product introduction
  • Investigate the health of sales and supply chain for assigned accounts
  • Learn and improve individual skills by attending training sessions
  • Share and discuss ideas, knowledge & skills with other account managers

Skills

  • Ability to develop and maintain business relationships
  • Excellent verbal and written communication
  • Ability to efficiently handle multiple tasks and ongoing projects
  • Highly self-motivated and the ability to take initiative
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc

Preferred

  • BS or MS in Business, Marketing, Communications, or related fields
  • Experience with retail, supply chain, and relevant portals: Retail Link, 3PLs, etc
