About Walmart Supplier One & Item 360

What is Walmart Supplier One / Item 360?

Supplier One is an application provided by Walmart that allows suppliers to view, create, and manipulate their items. Supplier One was preceded by Online Item File, Supplier Center, and most recently, Item 360.

Supplier One share many identical functions with Item 360 and is intended to be its replacement in the near future.

How does Supplier One / Item 360 Work?

Supplier One / Item 360 works through two main methods, direct edits and editable spreadsheets. You can either make item updates directly on the Supplier One / Item 360 web page, or download an Excel file that you can edit and re-upload to Supplier One / Item 360. Making edits via spreadsheet can be much more efficient if you need to make changes in bulk.

Is Supplier One / Item 360 just for Walmart.com Suppliers?

Supplier One / Item 360 is for every item in Walmart that is managed by a vendor. Even DSD items show up in Supplier One / Item 360. While the content updates you make will reflect on Walmart.com, Supplier One / Item 360 is your direct link to Walmart’s item file, so it is a critical tool, even if your item is in-store only.

Why aren’t my changes showing up?

Depending on what you’re trying to do, Walmart may need to approve your request. If you look in activity monitor, only activities with a green check mark are completed. Items with an orange Spark logo have been submitted to Walmart for approval. These generally are routed to the correct associate, but if you need quick approval, or the activity is taking too long to be approved, you can send your buyer the activity ID. A blue icon means that you have to make corrections before your changes can reflect.

Is Supplier One / Item 360 iSAM?

To some extent, yes…iSAM is the Walmart internal version of Supplier One / Item 360. Buyers can use iSAM to turn on replenishment for items, approve supplier activities, and do additional things that suppliers can’t. Because the systems are so similar, sometimes buyers will ask suppliers to do things in Supplier One / Item 360 that they cannot, or refer to Supplier One / Item 360 as iSAM. If suppliers are requested to make updates that aren’t accessible on the Supplier One / Item 360 side, a simple email to your buyer explaining that you don’t have access can usually solve the issue.

Do I Still Need to Use Supplier Center?

For most suppliers, no. The primary audience for Supplier Center is now DSV vendors. At this time, you cannot make content updates in Supplier Center.
