The hottest buzzword making the rounds inside Walmart corporate today is ‘surety of supply’, which simply means does Walmart have confidence in you the supplier’s ability to have a healthy pipeline of inventory flowing into it’s stores so out of stock situations are limited. 

This term goes hand in hand with On-Shelf Availability (OSA) since both simply mean, is the product on the shelf when the customer wants to purchase it.  On-Shelf Availability can be impacted by many factors, but it all starts with your ability to produce the volume Walmart requires.

After this hurdle you then need to ensure your logistical network is setup to get the products to Walmart in a timely fashion and in the correct ordered amounts (OTIF, on time in full).
