What Is Walmart Supplier One?
Supplier One is an application provided by Walmart that allows suppliers to view, create, and manage their items. It is a central tool for maintaining item content, submitting updates, and working within Walmart’s item management system.
Common Tasks Completed in Supplier One
Supplier One supports a wide range of item management functions. Common tasks include creating new items for in-store, Walmart.com, or DSV; submitting cost changes; updating item photos and descriptions; adding attributes to improve online discoverability; adding rich media; reviewing content quality scores; updating trade item configuration and DC information; and locating item IDs, item numbers, UPCs, case UPCs, pallet UPCs, and GTINs.

It can also be used to find direct links to Walmart.com item pages, cross-reference item identifiers, change vendor or contract numbers, create new item numbers when case quantities change, identify item issues, access support tickets, check replenishment status, and confirm whether an item is sold in-store or online only.
How Does Supplier One Work?
Supplier One works through two primary methods: direct edits and editable spreadsheets. Suppliers can make updates directly within the Supplier One web interface or download an Excel file, edit it, and upload it back into the system. Spreadsheet uploads are often the more efficient option when making changes in bulk.
Is Supplier One Just for Walmart.com Suppliers?
No. Supplier One is used for vendor-managed items across Walmart, including DSD items. While many content changes will appear on Walmart.com, Supplier One is also the direct link to Walmart’s item file, making it a critical tool even for items that are sold only in stores.
Why Aren’t My Changes Showing Up?
Some changes require Walmart approval before they are completed. In Activity Monitor, only requests marked with a green “Complete” status are fully finished. Requests marked “Walmart Action Required” have been submitted for Walmart approval and may still be pending review. If approval is taking too long, sharing the activity ID with your buyer may help move the request forward. Requests marked “Supplier Action Required” usually mean corrections are needed before the changes can go live.
Is Supplier One iSAM?
Not exactly, but the two are closely related. iSAM is Walmart’s internal version of Supplier One and gives buyers access to additional functions, such as enabling replenishment and approving supplier activities. Because the systems are so similar, buyers may sometimes refer to Supplier One, Item 360, or iSAM interchangeably. If you are asked to make an update that is not available on the supplier side, contacting your buyer to explain the access limitation can usually resolve the issue.
Do I Still Need to Use Supplier Center?
No. Supplier One has replaced Supplier Center.
